Dr. Oz recently made a presentation (Don’t Drink the Water) that was very compelling. Take a moment to read about our water & the implications it has on our families.

Another scary story in the news re: MRSA…so much research is ongoing, but we do know that our children and elderly are at serious risk of getting MRSA.  If only we would take this as seriously as we do other areas of life…we would be so much better off and be HEALTHIER!

Hospital Workers’ Phones Covered In Germs – Health News Story – WYFF Greenville

Mobile phones belonging to hospital workers are covered in bacteria, including the so-called superbug, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, also known as MRSA, new research says.A report in the journal Annals of Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobials says the phones may be a source of hospital-acquired infections.Researchers from Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey tested the phones of doctors and nurses in hospital operating rooms and intensive care units.They found that almost 95 percent were contaminated with bacteria of different types, potentially causing infections.Only 10 percent staff regularly cleaned their phone.”Our results suggest cross-contamination of bacteria between the hands of healthcare workers and their mobile phones. These mobile phones could act as a reservoir of infection which may facilitate patient-to-patient transmission of bacteria in a hospital setting,” the researchers wrote.

Headaches

As a chronic headache sufferer, I read the following with great interest in the book called The Headache Alternative by Alexander Mauskop, M.D.

He wrote about Chemical Sensitivity – which he calls a nonimmunological syndrome, probably a combination of central nervous system damage and enzyme deficiencies, which may be caused by chronic exposure to toxins, or genetics, or both.  He further goes on to say that removing the sensitivity-causing substance might relieve the headache for the time being, but the body remains susceptible to reactions from other substances.
